Who is the day camp for?

Our day camp is for children from 5* to 12 years old.
* The child must have reached the age of 5 on September 30, 2023 or before to be able to participate in the day camp.

Mandatory ratios

1 animator for every 10 children aged 5 to 8

1 animator for every 15 children aged 9 to 12

Online registration begins:March 27, 2024, at 9:00 a.m.
Day camp starts:June 24, 2024
End of day camp:August 16, 2024
Virtual information night:June 13, 2024, starting at 7 p.m.
The coordinator will email you the required link a few days before the conference to participate in the virtual information session.

Childcare service

Childcare is NOT included in the price of the camp.

Childcare is offered every week from 7:00 am to 9:00 am and from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Children will be offered free activities supervised by our animation team.

As we will be checking in each day, please notify the coordinator when your child will be absent from camp or leaving early.

You will receive contact information in the weekly email that will be sent out the Thursday before each week of camp.

Water and thematic activities

Water games or swimming pool

On hot days, our animation team will organize water games for the children to cool off.

Weekly themes

Each week, the children will have a different theme. You will be able to follow its progress every day.

On Friday afternoon, a party - with special activities! - will mark the end of the theme.

Obligation to respect depending on the method of registration?

Be registered for 2 consecutive weeks of day camps which cover the two weeks of a swimming lesson session. A RL-24 statement will be provided to you

Resident: $55 Non-Resident: $70

Directly on the city website or directly at the Harpell Center.

No RL-24 slip will be provided.

Resident: $65 / Non-Resident: $80

Only for Résidents: 55$ per session: Eligibility: Be registered for 2 consecutive weeks of day camps which cover the two weeks of a swimming lesson session.

• 4 one-hour lessons / week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) / 2 weeks / 8 lessons
• Classes are offered between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. depending on the groups.
• We offer the Red Cross program (level 1 to 10)
• Bring the progress log because after each completed session, the child moves up in level. IMPORTANT: • The swimming lesson service is offered and managed by the municipality. • Please note that courses that do not have a sufficient number of participants will be combined at another level. Therefore, course times are subject to change. • If you are unsure which group your child is in, please visit the following website:

• Note that your child may change groups based on the lifeguard’s assessment.
• If you are not registered for day camp for the two weeks constituting a swimming session, you will have to come to the pool for the lesson sessions. The class schedule (morning) will be confirmed to you following your registration.

Companion Program

For an inclusive day camp

The Companion Program is designed to integrate children with special needs into the day camp to provide them with a fun experience in a safe environment.

This program is for all children who want to spend an extraordinary summer with outstanding chaperones. Big smiles and great memories guaranteed!

Following receipt of the form and its study, we will contact you to confirm your child’s participation in the day camp (conditional approval of the support program).

If we cannot find qualified personnel to care for your child, we will notify you of the situation as soon as possible.

Weekly communication

An email will be sent to you every Thursday before a week of camp. This will give you all the information you need.

Procedure to follow in case of absence, delay or early departure

To report the absence of your child, his late arrival at camp or the fact that you will have to pick up your child earlier, please communicate the information directly to the coordinator of the day camp site either in person or by email: [email protected]

JUNE 27 - Clip’N Climb

Clip’N Climb offers groups of children healthy exercise and both physical and intellectual challenges. Climbing promotes strength, balance, flexibility and is very similar to problem solving. It helps develop self-confidence and self-esteem, and encourages peer support and communication.
Automatic belay systems are used on all walls, so there is no need for belayers to monitor the climber's safety.

This means that all children can be active at all times, and risk management is significantly simplified.

Here are some examples of special and original climbing stations:

- Spaghetti - The Jungle - The vertical race
- Velcro - Ladder - Plumbing
- The orbit - The skyscraper

JULY 4 - Arbraska Rigaud

This physical activity in the forest is made up of aerial courses allowing children (from 5 years old) to develop their concentration, encourage their friends and have fun.

All courses are decorated with suspension bridges, zip lines, ropes, ladders and Tarzan ropes which allow participants to progress to the treetops.
Groups will therefore be assigned routes adapted to the age and height of the participants.

Specially trained guides will be present on the various routes to help and ensure everyone’s safety.

JULY 11 - Exporail

Exporail, the Canadian Railway Museum welcomes groups all year round and offers a special opportunity
children to discover history through its rich collection of railway vehicles, size
nature. Experienced, competent and dynamic tour guides supervise the children.

JULY 18 - Funtropolis Laval

Imagine a universe with thousands of multi-colored Styrofoam balls spinning and swirling around you. An interactive environment that gives free rein to the imagination, offering a great opportunity to do physical exercise in a completely safe way.
requiring no protective equipment. With two centers to better please you, in Laval and St-Hubert! Here are different games available:

JULY 25 - Centre des sciences & Imax

Astonishing, fun, surprising, the exhibitions allow you to explore, learn and understand through a variety of interactive devices. Science exhibitions are designed to make accessible the sciences and technologies that shape our daily lives; allow direct and fun contact with scientific notions and basic techniques; understand the impact of scientific and technical applications in our individual and collective lives.

AUGUST 1 - Zoo Ecomuseum

The Ecomuseum Zoo highlights Quebec wildlife, in a natural and enchanting setting. One and only outdoor zoo on the island of Montreal, located in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue.

AUGUST 8 - Ferme Guyon

Three activity trays will be on the menu for your day on the farm.

Educational farm: • Visitors will be in direct contact with the animals and will become familiar with their particularities, their habitat, the ways of feeding them as well as their contribution to the food chain.

Butterflies: • From egg to caterpillar to chrysalis and finally to butterfly, let yourself be overwhelmed by the beauty and grace of the native and exotic butterflies swirling around you.

Workshop: From wheat to bread and from cow to butter

AUGUST 15 - Quille Boulzeye

With its virtual reality zone, its two-story Laser Tag arena, 16 bowling alleys, 4 escape game rooms, you will certainly find what you are looking for at BoulZeye. The staff will be dedicated to making each of your visits unforgettable!
A unique bowling alley. Our bowling alley is one of the most modern in Montreal, with its cinema screens and its brand new Sync system from Brunswick. This system offers entertainment and the possibility of playing new games on the lanes such as: Angry bird, Horse, E-Z bowl and many others.


On 2 floors, our 6,000 square foot arena can hold up to 40 participants at a time. Not
of restrictive labyrinth at BoulZeye, you have enough spaces to hide.

Pour un été encore plus amusant!

Les spécialités sont des activités facultatives. Elles sont offertes tous les jours, de 9 h à midi, sauf le mercredi. .

Pour que votre enfant y participe, vous devez prévoir des frais supplémentaires de 36 $ par semaine.

Faites vite : les places sont limitées, par semaine, à 12 enfants pour les 5-10 ans et à 15 jeunes pour les 11-14 ans.

Semaine du 24 juin au 28 juin

Confection d’avions 9-12 ans

Au cours de la semaine, les jeunes fabriquent 8 modèles d’avion différents qu’ils rapporteront à la maison.

On débute par des modèles d’avions en papier qui demandent des techniques de pliage spéciaux et précis, permettant de comprendre les principes aéronautiques qui font qu’un avion puisse voler.

Ensuite, leur temps est consacré à un planeur de surf aérien qui vole aussi longtemps qu’on lui fournit une vague d’air. Ils fabriqueront un avion-Balsa en faune à lancement manuel ainsi qu’un planeur à hélices en bois.

Finalement tous effectueront un ornithoptère en bois (machine volante) qui peut voler 45 secondes. Des compétitions de groupes sont aussi prévues au programme, plaisir garanti!
